Can you please give the answer to this question?
Will the natural frequency of an object change with change in its length?

a) The stretched wire in a sonometer always have the same natural frequency, isn't it? Then how can its natural frequency becomes equal to that of the impressed vibration on changing the length(by adjusting the bridges)?
b) What are the factors affecting the natural frequency of an object?

great work

thanks
keep up the good effort

All objects have a natural frequency or set of frequencies at which they vibrate when struck, plucked, strummed or somehow disturbed. The actual frequency is dependent upon the properties of the material the object is made of (this affects the speed of the wave) and the length of the material (this effects the wavelength of the wave). It is the goal of musicians to find instruments that possess the ability to vibrate with sets of frequencies that are musically sounding (i.e., mathematically related by simple whole number ratios) and to vary the lengths and (if possible) properties to create the desired sounds.

Thank you Sir, so from this I understand that natural frequency varies according to the change in the length.
